Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3/4 Therapy Assistant to join a dynamic community mental health team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will provide vital support to the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges within the community setting.

Position Details:

  • Role: Band 3/4 Therapy Assistant
  • Location: Liverpool, Community Mental Health Team
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Hourly Rate: £14.50 per hour
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Essential Requirement: Must be a car driver with access to own vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals in delivering therapeutic interventions to service users with mental health needs.
  • Support service users in participating in a range of activities to improve their daily functioning and well-being.
  • Help with the planning and preparation of therapy sessions and activities.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of service user progress.
  • Collaborate with the community mental health team to provide holistic care.
  • Contribute to the overall delivery of mental health services within the community.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a therapy or healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A car driver with access to own vehicle for travel within the community.
  • A passion for supporting individuals with mental health needs and promoting recovery.
