Locum Clinical Pharmacist – NHS Hospital, Oxfordshire
Agency: Hunter AHP
Hourly Rate: £33 - £37 per hour
Hunter AHP are currently seeking a skilled Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join the team at a NHS hospital in Oxfordshire. This exciting opportunity involves working across a variety of wards!
- Contract Length: Ongoing contract, possibility to go permanent upon review
- Hours: 9am - 5pm (30 minute break)
- Experience: Previous clinical experience is essential and required to be considered for this post
- Flexibility: 3/4/5 days per week available
- Duties: Job role will be working across a variety of wards
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medications and ensuring accurate supply across different hospital wards.
- Reviewing prescriptions and providing medication counselling to medical staff.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant pharmaceutical legislation and hospital policies.
- Delivering clinical pharmacy services including therapeutic drug monitoring and patient medication reviews.
- Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Providing advice on formulary compliance, drug interactions, and safety.
Requirements:
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
- Hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in a ward-based setting, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in NHS settings is desirable but not essential.
