Locum Clinical Pharmacist – NHS Hospital, Oxfordshire

Hourly Rate: £33 - £37 per hour

Hunter AHP are currently seeking a skilled Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join the team at a NHS hospital in Oxfordshire. This exciting opportunity involves working across a variety of wards!

  • Contract Length: Ongoing contract, possibility to go permanent upon review
  • Hours: 9am - 5pm (30 minute break)
  • Experience: Previous clinical experience is essential and required to be considered for this post
  • Flexibility: 3/4/5 days per week available
  • Duties: Job role will be working across a variety of wards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing medications and ensuring accurate supply across different hospital wards.
  • Reviewing prescriptions and providing medication counselling to medical staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant pharmaceutical legislation and hospital policies.
  • Delivering clinical pharmacy services including therapeutic drug monitoring and patient medication reviews.
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Providing advice on formulary compliance, drug interactions, and safety.

Requirements:

  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in a ward-based setting, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in NHS settings is desirable but not essential.
