Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist – NHS Hospital, Surrey

Hourly Rate: £28 - £32 per hour

Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to join an established NHS hospital in Surrey. This is an exciting ongoing opportunity with flexible working hours (3, 4, or 5 days per week), offering a chance to enhance your skills in a supportive hospital environment.

  • Previous wards experience is essential and required
  • £28 to £32 per hour (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing clinical pharmacy services across various wards within the hospital.
  • Conducting medication reviews and therapeutic drug monitoring for patients.
  • Ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medicines across the hospital wards.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and medication management.
  • Offering advice on drug interactions, formulary management, and therapeutic options.
  • Supervising junior staff and providing guidance where necessary.
  • Reviewing and assessing prescriptions for accuracy and legality.

Requirements:

  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
  • Band 7 experience or equivalent in clinical pharmacy settings.
  • Previous ward experience is essential, ideally within an NHS hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • A patient-focused approach with a strong commitment to safe and effective medication practices.
