Contracts Assistant – (Entry level or experienced recruitment preferred but not essential)

Location – Shoreditch, London (5-minute walk from Moorgate Station and Liverpool Street)

Salary – £21,000 – £26,000 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for daily contracts and legal compliance queries
  • Issuing standard terms of business to clients
  • Reviewing client terms of business and flowing down terms to contractor appendices
  • Drafting contractors’ contracts
  • Negotiating non-standard contract amendments with clients and contractors
  • Ensuring contractor and client compliance in private and public health sector frameworks
  • Compliance analysis for new contract placements – ability to identify compliance and commercial risks
  • Engaging with the business on outstanding contractual compliance documentation
  • Conducting internal and external audits for clients and tax authorities
  • Maintaining contractual compliance of the supply chain – onboarding and auditing umbrella payroll solutions
  • Assisting with contractual compliance advice and completing client tenders and procurement process
  • Working closely with Finance and Accounts to ensure the accuracy of client and contractor data
  • Ad-hoc office management duties

 

Must have:

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Commercial acumen
  • Strong command of the English Language, both written and verbal
  • A willingness to learn and must be a quick learner
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to cope with tight deadlines

Nice to have:

  • Compliance experience within a recruitment business (life sciences preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of UK contractual compliance topics – AWR, IR35, data protection, immigration.
  • Ability to understand the impact of changing compliance regulations on the recruitment process, client, and contractor base
  • Experience working with Bullhorn, DocuSign or AdobeSign
  • Experience in compliance project management
  • Experience in proposing and implementing new processes
