• Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 7) – Acute Medicine
• Location: North London
• Duration: 3-month contract (with potential for extension)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time (part-time considered)
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Rolling contract
• Rate of Pay: £28–£30 per hour (DOE)

What You’ll Be Doing:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to step into a senior role within a dynamic Acute Medicine team. The successful candidate will:

• Provide specialist assessment and intervention for patients with acute medical conditions
• Manage a varied caseload, supporting timely and effective discharge planning
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure a holistic approach to patient care
• Implement rehabilitation programmes and functional assessments to support patient independence
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and contribute to service development initiatives

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

• Current and valid HCPC registration
• Experience working within acute hospital settings, ideally in acute/general medicine
• Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
• The ability to work autonomously and within a fast-paced MDT environment
• A strong focus on safe discharge planning and patient-centered care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

The role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, but part-time applications are welcome. The contract is initially for 3 months, with high potential for extension based on service demand and performance.
