Pharmacist – Band 8a/8b – North London – Oncology

• Job Title: Pharmacist (Band 8a/8b)
• Location: Essex
• Duration: 3-6 Month Contract
• Schedule: 9:00am – 5:00pm, 30-minute lunch break, 5 days a week
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: 3-6 months (with the possibility of extension)
• Rate of Pay: £33ph-£42ph

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Band 8a/8b Pharmacist and play a key role in improving the lives of patients. In this role, you will:

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy support to oncology wards and outpatient services
  • Review and manage chemotherapy prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and safety
  • Offer expert advice on cancer drug therapies, side effects, and dosage adjustments
  • Monitor patient outcomes and medication responses in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in the development and delivery of clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Ensure compliance with cancer treatment regulations and standards
  • Contribute to the education and training of healthcare professionals on oncology pharmacy practices

  Requirements:

  • GPhC registration
  • Extensive experience in oncology pharmacy practice
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with chemotherapy and cytotoxic drugs is essential

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position requiring availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. The contract duration is 3-6 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
