• Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Band 5
• Location: Essex (Prison Setting)
• Duration: 3-month contract (likely to extend)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Rolling (initial 3-month contract with likely extension)
• Rate of Pay: £18.00–£20.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in supporting healthcare within a secure setting. In this role, you will:
• work in the dispensary to prepare and dispense medications
• support medicines management processes within the prison
• ensure compliance with all relevant legal and professional requirements
• collaborate with prison healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care
• maintain accurate records and follow secure handling procedures
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• a current and valid GPhC registration
• experience working in a dispensary (prison experience not required)
• strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• the ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• a commitment to delivering safe, effective, and high-quality care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers a full-time position requiring availability Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. The contract is for 3 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
