Are you a Band 5 or 6 Pharmacy Technician looking for a rewarding locum role in Essex? We have an exciting opportunity in an NHS hospital setting with great pay and flexibility!

• Job Title: Locum Pharmacy Technician (Band 5/6)

• Location: Essex

• Duration: 4 months

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am–5:30pm (1-hour lunch)

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: 4 months from start

• Rate of Pay: £18–£25 per hour (DOE)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Locum Pharmacy Technician and play a vital role in supporting patient care within an NHS hospital. In this role, you will:

• utilise your ACT accreditation for accuracy checking of dispensed medication

• provide medicines management support on wards

• ensure timely and safe supply of medications to patients

• collaborate with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team

• support dispensary operations and stock control

• maintain accurate patient medication records

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• a current and valid GPhC registration

• ACT accreditation (Accuracy Checking Technician)

• prior experience in NHS hospital pharmacy settings

• strong medicines management skills

• excellent communication and organisational abilities

• the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• a commitment to safe and effective patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9am–5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break. The contract is for 4 months with the potential for extension depending on performance and service needs.
