Salary: £16 - £21 per hour, PAYE Direct Engagement
Start date: November 2024
Length: Up to 6 months!
Hours: MON-FRI 9am - 5.30pm (1 hour lunch), part time MAY be considered

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have experience working in a hospital setting. You will be responsible for dispensing prescriptions, providing patient counselling on the correct use of medications, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring high standards of stock control. Experience using the CMM Pharmacy computer system and holding an ACPT qualification would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide advice and counselling to patients on the proper use of medications
• Manage stock control and ensure stock maintenance to prevent shortages or overstocking
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management
• Use the CMM Pharmacy computer system for accurate record-keeping (desirable)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must be GPhC registered
• NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (Pharmacy Technician)
• Hospital experience (desirable)
• ACPT (Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician) qualification (desirable)
• Experience with dispensing prescriptions and stock control
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
