Qualifications, Roles & Responsibilities:

FCPs are physiotherapists registered with the HCPC, with advanced clinical practice training. They work autonomously in primary care, performing advanced MSK assessments, ordering investigations, providing treatment, and referring patients when required.

Average Salary for FCPs in the UK:

  • Locum FCPs:
    £30 – £45 per hour (depending on region and experience)
  • Salaried FCPs:
    £43,742 – £57,349 annually (NHS Band 7–8a, Agenda for Change)
