Locum Pharmacist (Band 6/7/8a) – South London
Pay Rate: £23 - £35 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3-6 months
Location: South London, NHS Hospital
Working Hours: 5 Days a week (Full-Time)


We are urgently seeking a Band 6/7/8a Locum Pharmacist to join a reputable NHS hospital in South London. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient care and pharmacy services within a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Checking & Dispensing: Ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medications.
  • Ward Rounds: Participate in ward rounds, providing expert advice on medication management.
  • Patient Counselling: Offer counselling and support to patients on their medication regimens.
  • Medication Reviews: Conduct medication reviews to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
  • Medicines Management: Contribute to the overall management of medicines in line with NHS guidelines.

Requirements:

  • GPhC-registered Pharmacist.
  • Experience working as a Band 6, Band 7, or Band 8a pharmacist in a hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Prior NHS experience preferred.
  • Available to start ASAP and commit to a 3-6 month contract.
