Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to the pharmacy team in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications.
- Carry out clinical checks and ensure the safe and accurate delivery of medicines to patients.
- Assist with stock management, including ordering, storing, and managing medication supplies.
- Participate in the supply and dispensing of controlled drugs in accordance with NHS guidelines.
- Ensure the accurate maintenance of patient medication records and pharmacy inventory.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
- Provide support with audits, stock rotation, and quality control activities.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent qualification) – essential.
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in an NHS hospital setting (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of NHS pharmacy procedures and protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with patients and colleagues effectively.
