Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Locum Independent Prescriber Pharmacist to join a GP surgery in Surrey!

Key Details:

• Location: Surrey (Hybrid working model available)

• Role: Independent Prescriber Pharmacist (GP Surgery)

• Days: 2 days per week

• Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute break)

• Pay: £30 – £40 per hour (DOE)

• Payment: Weekly, every Friday

Duties & Responsibilities:

As an Independent Prescriber Pharmacist in a GP surgery setting, you will:

• Conduct medication reviews (structured & clinical)

• Manage repeat prescribing and medicines optimisation

• Provide patient-facing clinics (e.g., long-term condition management, minor ailments)

• Undertake prescribing and deprescribing where appropriate

• Deliver medicines information and advice to patients and clinicians

• Support chronic disease management in line with surgery protocols

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective prescribing

Requirements:

• Must hold Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification

• Prior GP surgery / primary care experience highly desirable

• Strong clinical knowledge and confident decision-making skills
