We are looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join an established primary care team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient centred care within general practice. Applications are welcome for both full-time and part-time roles.

Key Responsibilities

As an ANP, you will work independently, as well as part of the multidisciplinary team, to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients across the lifespan. Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, including history taking, physical examination, and diagnostic decision-making
  • Diagnosing and managing acute and long-term conditions within your scope of practice
  • Prescribing and reviewing medications in line with current legislation and best practice (independent prescribing qualification required)
  • Managing urgent, on-the-day presentations and minor illnesses
  • Providing chronic disease management and review (e.g., diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension)
  • Interpreting and acting on diagnostic test results (e.g., blood tests, ECGs, imaging reports)
  • Delivering evidence-based health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle advice
  • Supporting patients with complex care needs and coordinating care across services
  • Contributing to safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults
  • Assisting with minor injury and minor illness clinics
  • Participating in audits, clinical governance, and service development to enhance practice performance
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, HCAs, and allied health professionals

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (NMC pin required)
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent)
  • Independent Prescribing qualification (V300)
  • Proven experience working as an ANP in a primary care setting
  • Excellent clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care
