Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Locum Independent Prescriber (IP) Pharmacist to join a supportive GP Surgery in Kent. This is an onsite position, ideal for a confident clinical pharmacist who enjoys working directly with patients and practice teams to deliver safe and effective medicines management services.
You’ll collaborate closely with the surgery’s in-house clinical pharmacist and wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care and compliance with best practice guidelines.
Undertake medicines management tasks within the GP practice.
Complete discharge summary medication reconciliations and review out-patient letters with medication changes.
Manage overdue medication reviews and respond to clinical queries within your scope of competence.
Contribute to audits and quality improvement work alongside the practice’s own clinical pharmacist.
Confidently use EMIS for clinical documentation and patient record management.
GPhC-registered Pharmacist with Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
Experience working in a GP surgery or primary care environment.
Proficient in EMIS Web.
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
Competitive hourly rate of £30–£37, dependent on experience.
