Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Locum Oncology Pharmacist to join a respected private hospital in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an oncology-trained pharmacist to provide specialist clinical support in a modern, well-equipped hospital setting.
The role will suit a confident and proactive pharmacist with strong clinical knowledge and oncology experience, able to contribute effectively to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care.
Start Date: Monday 3rd November 2025
End Date: Ongoing (service dependent)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Hours: 09:00–17:00 (may vary to 08:00–16:00 or 10:00–18:00)
Location: Onsite – Manchester Private Hospital
Cover Required: Availability around the Christmas period (excluding Bank Holidays)
Rate: £33–£37 per hour (Band 8a, umbrella payment)
Provide expert oncology pharmacy support to the clinical team.
Deliver clinical screening and verification of chemotherapy and related prescriptions.
Support the safe and effective use of cancer medicines in line with hospital protocols.
Collaborate closely with consultants, nurses, and pharmacy colleagues to optimise patient outcomes.
Contribute to clinical governance and audit activities within oncology services.
GPhC-registered Pharmacist.
Demonstrable oncology pharmacy experience (hospital setting essential).
Proven clinical pharmacy background.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Flexible approach with commitment to service delivery, including around the festive period.
Competitive Band 8a rates (£33–£37/hour).
