Band 6 Physiotherapist – Critical Care – East Midlands!

Hours: Full-time, 25–26 per hour

Role Description:
Provides specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for critically ill patients in the ICU. Manages patients with acute respiratory failure, including those on mechanical ventilation. Delivers advanced airway clearance techniques and other respiratory interventions to optimize patient outcomes. Monitors and responds to acutely deteriorating patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to implement patient-centered care plans. Supports early mobilization and rehabilitation of ICU patients where clinically appropriate. Maintains accurate documentation of interventions, patient progress, and outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

• Registered Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience working in ICU or critical care settings.
• Strong respiratory physiotherapy skills.
• Experience managing acutely deteriorating patients.
• Competence in assessing and treating patients on ventilators.
• Skilled in advanced airway clearance techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

• Additional critical care physiotherapy training or post-registration qualifications.
• Experience with early mobilization protocols in ICU.

Pay: £25–26 per hour (full-time hours)
