Locum Band 6 Acute General Medical Physiotherapist – Warwickshire – ASAP Start

We are currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Acute General Medical Physiotherapist for a full-time locum opportunity in Warwickshire, starting as soon as possible.

Role Details:

• Band 6 Physiotherapist
• Acute General Medical caseload
• Full-time hours
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Warwickshire

The Role:

This position will involve working within an acute general medical team managing a varied inpatient caseload. You will be responsible for assessing, treating, and progressing patients with a wide range of conditions, including:

• Respiratory conditions (e.g. pneumonia, COPD exacerbations)
• Cardiac conditions
• Frailty and deconditioning
• Falls and mobility issues
• Acute infections
• Complex multi-morbidity presentations

The role will include:

• Comprehensive physiotherapy assessments
• Respiratory assessment and treatment
• Mobility and rehabilitation planning
• Discharge planning and MDT working
• Supporting early supported discharge and patient flow
• Supervising junior staff and students where appropriate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous NHS acute general medical experience
• Strong respiratory skills
• Confidence managing complex and high-turnover caseloads
• Excellent MDT communication skills
• HCPC registration
