Locum GP – Southend – 12 months contract

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join a well-established GP surgery and play a key role in delivering high-quality primary care services. In this role, you will:

• conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients
• assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
• prescribe medication and review ongoing treatments
• manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension
• review pathology results, correspondence, and clinical documents
• work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
• maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• full GMC registration with a license to practice
• experience working as a GP in a primary care setting
• strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position with availability required across 4–5 weekdays per week, covering up to 6 sessions weekly. The contract is expected to run for up to 12 months, with strong potential for extension.
