GP Surgery Pharmacy Technician – Carmarthen, South Wales – Part Time

• Location: Carmarthen, South Wales (GP Surgery – On Site)
• Duration: 3 Months (with potential extension)
• Schedule: 2 days per week (Monday & Thursday or Friday), 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing (initial 3-month contract)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our client's team as a Pharmacy Technician within a GP surgery and play a key role in supporting primary care services. In this role, you will:

• process and review discharge summaries
• carry out medication reviews and reauthorisation checks
• work on EMIS to support prescribing and patient records
• assist with medicines optimisation within a GP setting
• collaborate with the wider GP practice team

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• a current and valid GPhC registration
• pharmacy technician experience (GP experience desirable but not essential)
• willingness to learn and undertake GP-based duties (training provided)
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work independently within a primary care environment
• commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a part-time, on-site role requiring availability for 2 days per week (Monday & Thursday or Friday). The contract is for 3 months initially, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
