Start Date: ASAP (Ongoing Contract) Earnings: £56 – £70 per hour (Pay-per-scan model)
We are seeking a highly efficient and specialised Sonographer for a high-volume, ongoing locum contract covering three clinical sites across the Leicester and Rutland area. This is an immediate start requirement for a professional capable of maintaining high standards of clinical accuracy within a fast-paced community environment.
To be successful in this role, you must be proficient and autonomous in the following areas:
General Ultrasound (including Lumps, Bumps, and Small Parts)
MSK (Musculoskeletal)
Gynae
The service operates on a high-throughput model to optimise patient access. You will be expected to manage 4 to 5 scans per hour, allowing approximately 12–15 minutes per patient for both the scan and the reporting.
Contract: Ongoing.
Pattern: Recurring Monday-Monday-Wednesday schedule.
You will be required to provide cover across the following sites:
Leicester City Centre: St Peter's Health Centre (LE2)
Loughborough: Rosebery Medical Centre (LE11)
Rutland: The Uppingham Surgery (LE15)
This contract utilises a “pay-per-scan” model, rewarding efficiency and high performance.
Completed Scans: £14.00 per scan.
DNA Protection: £7.00 per “Did Not Attend” (DNA) to recognise your time on-site.
Potential: Based on the expected workflow, hourly earnings equate to £56 – £70 per hour.
