We are currently seeking experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapists for an exciting locum opportunity within a Local Authority Children's Occupational Therapy Service in Cheshire.
We are looking for candidates with substantial paediatric and local authority experience who are confident working within statutory Children's Services.
Completing comprehensive paediatric occupational therapy assessments.
Managing and prioritising waiting lists.
Liaising closely with MDT colleagues and other professionals.
Assessing for and recommending specialist equipment.
Assessing for major adaptations and making appropriate recommendations.
Contributing to statutory Local Authority functions.
Providing specialist OT advice to children, families and professionals.
Working collaboratively with education, health and social care services.
We are also seeking an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join the Local Authority Moving & Handling Team.
Candidates must have experience in:
Moving and handling assessments.
Duty and triage work.
Specialist equipment assessment and provision.
Working within a Local Authority setting.
Providing practical recommendations to support children, families and carers.
HCPC registration.
Band 6/7 equivalent experience.
Strong paediatric Occupational Therapy experience.
Previous Local Authority experience is essential.
Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider MDT.
For the Moving & Handling position, previous Local Authority moving and handling experience is essential.
