Hunter Gatherer AHP is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a busy acute hospital team in Hackney, East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OT looking for a full-time locum position within an acute medical setting, with an immediate start available.

Job Title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Location: Hackney, East London
Speciality: Acute Medical
Pay Rate: £26 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing / TBC
Key Responsibilities:
Completing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments of acute medical patients.
Assessing patients’ functional abilities and independence with activities of daily living.
Providing appropriate rehabilitation and treatment interventions.
Assessing equipment and ongoing care needs.
Supporting safe and timely hospital discharges.
Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
Managing a varied acute medical caseload.
Requirements & Qualifications:
HCPC registration is essential.
Previous acute hospital experience.
Strong experience within acute medical wards.
Confident completing functional assessments and discharge planning.
Ability to work independently within a busy hospital environment.
