Job Title: Pathology Quality Manager Band 7/8a
Location: South East (Hybrid working, some tasks can be done remotely)
Duration: 3-month rolling contract (with review to extend)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £30 – 37 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Pathology Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of pathology services in line with the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your duties will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems for pathology services
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation guidelines, including UKAS and ISO 15189
  • Overseeing internal audits and managing corrective actions where required
  • Leading and training pathology staff on quality management processes and best practices
  • Working with senior management to improve service delivery and patient outcomes
  • Managing risk assessments and driving continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Must have experience with Q Pulse software for managing quality systems

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in Pathology with a focus on quality management and compliance
  • Proficiency with Q Pulse software for managing quality systems and documentation
  • In-depth knowledge of UKAS and ISO 15189 accreditation standards
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused services
  • Full right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)

 

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

The role is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with hybrid working available (some tasks can be completed remotely). The initial contract is for 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service requirements.
