A Day in the Life of an Oncology Pharmacist:
Join our clients team as an Oncology Pharmacist in an NHS hospital, where you will play a crucial role in supporting oncology and chemotherapy services. Your core responsibilities include:
• Reviewing and verifying oncology and chemotherapy prescriptions.
• Providing expert pharmaceutical advice to oncology teams.
• Ensuring safe and effective use of chemotherapy and cancer treatments.
• Educating patients on oncology medications and managing side effects.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
• Maintaining accurate records and staying up to date with oncology best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Current and valid GPhC registration
• Hospital experience is not required – The team is happy to train community-experienced pharmacists!
• Interest in or experience with oncology and chemotherapy medications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care~
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role is based on-site in Northampton and requires availability Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The contract is ongoing, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
