Are you a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist looking for a permanent role in New Zealand?

We’re supporting a leading New Zealand allied health provider to hire Occupational Therapists into varied rehabilitation positions covering community rehab, vocational rehab and chronic pain (a mix of community and clinic-based work).

Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Community Rehab, Vocational Rehab & Chronic Pain (varied caseload)
Location: New Zealand (North or South Island – multiple locations)
Hours: Full time, Monday–Friday
Start Date: Within 2–6 months
Salary: $70,500 – $106,000 NZD (dependent on experience and location)
Incentives: Additional monthly remuneration based on performance metrics

The role

You’ll work with adults with a broad range of rehabilitation needs, completing functional assessments, planning intervention, and supporting people to improve independence, participation and return-to-work outcomes.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Completing comprehensive assessments and goal planning

  • Delivering evidence-based interventions across community and clinic settings

  • Managing a varied caseload (general rehab, neuro, vocational rehab, chronic pain and more)

  • Working as part of a wider MDT and contributing to progress planning and outcomes

Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

  • Experience in community rehab and/or inpatient rehab settings

  • Confidence managing a varied adult caseload (rehab, neuro, vocational and/or pain-focused work)

  • A UK (or equivalent) driving licence

  • 3+ years post-graduate experience in the NHS or a UK-equivalent regulated clinical environment

  • NZ registration in process or already obtained (preferred, but not essential for the right profile)

  • A clear commitment to relocate to New Zealand within 2–6 months

Visa routes

These roles are on the Green List, with two common visa options:

  • Straight to Residence (self-funded)

  • Accredited Employer Work Visa (self-funded)
