Hunter Gatherer AHP are currently recruiting an ACT Pharmacy Technician to join an outpatient hospital service in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy professional with ACT experience, looking for an immediate start in a supportive hospital environment.
Role Details
Location: Barnsley
Start Date: ASAP, January 2026
Contract Length: 3–6 months (possibility of extension)
Setting: Outpatient Hospital Service
Pay: £18–£21 per hour via Umbrella DOE
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
Key Responsibilities
You will support the outpatient pharmacy service by:
Performing ACT duties within the dispensary, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Preparing and dispensing medications under supervision
Assisting pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations
Maintaining accurate records and stock management
Supporting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Candidate Requirements
ACT qualified Pharmacy Technician
Previous hospital experience not required
Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Professional, patient-focused approach
