Band 6 Locum Physiotherapist
Location: Liverpool

We are currently recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join a busy acute service in Liverpool, working across Respiratory and General Medicine acute wards. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician to support patient flow, respiratory management, and safe discharge planning within a fast-paced hospital environment.

The Role Involves:

• Undertaking timely physiotherapy assessments on respiratory and general medicine acute wards
• Assessing discharge readiness and identifying required physiotherapeutic interventions
• Delivering respiratory and functional physiotherapy interventions in an acute setting
• Completing effective parallel planning to support patient flow
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualised exercise and rehabilitation programmes
• Liaising closely with hospital teams, community services, and the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Supporting timely patient flow and safe discharge outcomes

Requirements:

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
• Experience working at Band 6 level
• Acute ward experience, ideally within respiratory and/or general medicine
• Strong discharge planning and MDT working skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
