An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Trauma & Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to join a busy NHS service in Leicestershire. This role is available for an immediate start with a minimum 4-month contract.

The Role:

You will be working within a fast-paced trauma and orthopaedic team, managing a varied caseload of acute and post-operative patients. Duties will include:

• Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients following trauma and orthopaedic surgery
• Managing post-operative rehabilitation including fractures, joint replacements, and soft tissue injuries
• Working on acute wards to support early mobilisation and facilitate safe discharge planning
• Completing comprehensive assessments and developing individualised treatment programmes
• Providing advice and education to patients, families, and carers
• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including consultants, nursing staff, and occupational therapists
• Supporting junior staff and students where appropriate
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional standards

Requirements:

• HCPC registered Physiotherapist
• Previous NHS experience at Band 6 level
• Strong trauma and orthopaedic experience (acute ward experience essential)
• Excellent communication skills and discharge planning experience
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
