About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Rehabilitation Assistant to join a Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team based in Waterlooville. This role involves supporting patients in their own homes and community settings, working alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other MDT members to deliver high-quality neuro rehab interventions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support clinicians in delivering neuro rehabilitation programmes in the community.
  • Assist with mobility practice, cognitive and functional rehab tasks, and exercise programmes.
  • Encourage and monitor patient progress, reporting feedback to qualified therapists.
  • Support patients with goal-focused activities to aid independence and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate notes and documentation in line with NHS standards.
  • Travel between patient homes—car driver essential.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Assistant, Therapy Assistant, or similar community-based role.
  • Understanding of neuro rehab principles (desirable but not essential if experienced in rehab).
  • Confident working independently in the community.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and patient-engagement skills.
  • Must be a car driver with own vehicle.
  • Available to start as soon as possible.
