Hunter AHP have an exciting new locum opportunity for a Band 6 Dispensary Pharmacist to join a well-established NHS hospital pharmacy team in Bristol. Job Title: Band 6 Dispensary Pharmacist
Location: NHS Hospital, Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3–6 months initially (with likely extension)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)
Hourly Rate: £24 – £28 per hour (depending on experience)
As a key member of the dispensary team, you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and timely pharmacy services. Your duties will include:
✔ Accurately dispensing prescriptions in a high-volume setting
✔ Following hospital SOPs and pharmacy regulations
✔ Collaborating with healthcare professionals to support patient care
✔ Offering clinical input when required
✔ Keeping detailed and compliant patient records
GPhC-registered Pharmacist (active registration)
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Strong communication and teamworking skills
Confident working independently in a busy NHS environment
Competitive hourly pay – £24–£28/hour DOE
