Hunter AHP have an excellent opportunity for a Band 6 Locum Dispensary Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at a respected NHS Hospital in Oxford. This is an ideal role for newly qualified pharmacists looking to gain valuable hospital experience with training provided.
Role: Band 6 Locum Dispensary Pharmacist
Location: NHS Hospital, Oxford
Department: Dispensary
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Rate: £24 to £28 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Ongoing – potential to become permanent upon review
Payment: Weekly, every Friday
Dispense inpatient and outpatient prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Provide clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure safety and compliance
Support the dispensary team with stock management and drug procurement
Offer medication advice to patients and healthcare professionals as needed
Liaise with clinical pharmacists, doctors, and nursing staff to resolve queries
Maintain full compliance with NHS policies, GPhC standards, and dispensary SOPs
Contribute to the training and supervision of junior staff when required
GPhC-registered Pharmacist (UK)
Newly qualified pharmacists encouraged to apply – NHS training provided
