• Job Title: Pharmacist OR Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) required – Band 5
• Location: Chelmsford, Essex – NHS organisation
• Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Rate of Pay: Circa £20 per hour (PAYE)

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our NHS client’s team as a Locum Pharmacist or ACT in the inpatient dispensary at a leading NHS Hospital near Chelmsford. In this role, you will:
Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medication
Support the inpatient dispensary team to ensure safe, timely medication delivery
Work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
Gain valuable hospital experience in a supportive environment
Contribute to patient safety and service efficiency
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
GPhC registration as a Pharmacist or ACT Pharmacy Technician
A keen interest in hospital pharmacy (ideal for newly qualified pharmacists)
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive and collaborative working style
Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers a flexible working arrangement across Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Friday. The initial contract is for 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
