Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Locum Independent Prescriber to join a supportive GP surgery in West London!
About the Role:
You will play a vital role within the primary care team, using your prescribing skills to optimise patient treatment and outcomes. The surgery offers a welcoming and collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical assessments and prescribe independently for patients in line with surgery protocols.
Provide expert advice and support to GPs and other healthcare professionals.
Manage repeat prescriptions, ensuring safety, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
Work with patients on long-term condition management and optimisation of therapies.
Use EMIS/System1 and Docman systems to maintain accurate patient records and correspondence.
Participate in clinical governance and audit activities as required.
Candidate Requirements:
Must have at least 3 years’ experience working as an Independent Prescriber.
Confident working independently and within a multidisciplinary primary care team.
Experience with EMIS or System1 and Docman is highly desirable.
Ideally able to work 5 days onsite; 3-4 days may be considered for the right candidate.
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach.
