Hunter Gatherer are seeking an IP Pharmacist – Lead Role for maternity cover, starting mid-May. This is a 12-month contract (dependent on funding) with the potential for hybrid working.
Job Details:
• Job Title: Independent Prescribing Pharmacist – Lead Role
• Location: South London – GP Surgery
• Contract: 12 months (mat cover)
• Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible, typically 9am–5pm)
• Working Pattern: Ideally 1 day remote, 3 days on-site (2 days on-site, 2 remote possible)
• Pay Rate: £33–£40 per hour via LTD company depending on experience/management experience
What You’ll Be Doing:
As Lead Pharmacist, you will:
Manage and oversee a small pharmacy team (2 pharmacists, 1 pharmacy technician, 2 clerks)
Lead on team management, reviewing workload, statistics, and performance
Conduct medication reviews and support patient care remotely and face-to-face
Run clinical clinics, including diabetes and asthma management
Work collaboratively with the wider GP practice team to optimise patient outcomes
Requirements & Qualifications:
Independent Prescribing qualification (IP)
Management experience preferred
Experience with EMIS clinical system
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
