Locum Independent Prescribing Pharmacist – GP Surgery (On-Site)

A GP surgery in West London is urgently seeking an experienced Independent Prescribing Pharmacist for an on-site locum role, starting ASAP.

This is a busy, well-established practice looking for a confident IP who can work autonomously and manage a GP-style workload.

Role Overview

• Face-to-face patient appointments

• Minor ailments (similar scope to GP work)

• Prescribing duties

• Medication reviews

• 10-minute appointment slots

• High-volume, fast-paced environment

You should be comfortable working independently without needing frequent GP input.

Key Details

• Days: 2–3 weekdays per week (flexible on which days)

• Hours: 8:00am – 6:30pm (1-hour lunch)
  Option to work full-day hours if preferred

• Contract Length: Likely 2–3 months

• Start Date: ASAP

• Location: On-site only (no remote working)

• Parking: Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Independent Prescriber (essential)

• Strong GP surgery experience

• Confident managing minor ailments and prescribing workload

• CPPE completion is essential

Pay

• £33–£36 per hour

• Agency invoice model (practice pays agency, agency pays locum)
