Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Locum Independent Prescriber (IP) Pharmacist to support a friendly and forward-thinking GP Surgery in Gloucestershire. This fully remote opportunity offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care across primary care services.
You’ll work alongside the practice’s own clinical pharmacist team, providing high-quality medicines management and clinical support in line with best practice standards.
Conduct medicines management tasks and ensure safe, effective use of medication.
Reconcile discharge summaries and out-patient letters involving medication changes.
Manage overdue medication reviews and address clinical queries within your scope of competence.
Perform and support clinical audits in conjunction with the in-house pharmacist.
Use EMIS confidently for all clinical and administrative tasks.
GPhC-registered Pharmacist with Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
Previous experience in a GP surgery or primary care setting.
Proficient user of EMIS Web.
Available to provide cover up to 31 March 2026 (if required).
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and organisational skills.
Competitive hourly rate of £30–£37, depending on experience.
