We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Band 5 Physiotherapist to join the physiotherapy team at an NHS hospital in Surrey. This is an immediate-start locum position supporting the winter pressure escalation wards across a range of inpatient areas, including surgical, medical, respiratory, and rehabilitation wards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist looking to develop broad acute inpatient experience within a supportive and dynamic NHS team during the busy winter period.
Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients across surgical, medical, respiratory, and rehab wards.
Contribute to effective discharge planning and patient flow during the winter escalation period.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS Trust standards.
Participate in weekend or on-call rotas as required (enhanced rates apply).
HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
Previous NHS inpatient experience (Band 5 or equivalent).
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamworking skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload.
Right to work in the UK and DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience in respiratory or acute medical settings.
Familiarity with NHS documentation systems (e.g., SystmOne, EPR, or similar).
Flexibility to work across different wards as service needs change.

Duration: Up to 6 months (with possible extension)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) – part-time considered
