Locum Band 7/8a Pharmacist – NHS Hospital – Worcester – ASAP

Hunter Gatherer AHP are currently recruiting an experienced Band 7 / 8a Pharmacist to join a busy NHS Hospital in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically confident pharmacist with strong ward-based experience, looking for an ongoing contract within an acute hospital setting.

Role Details

• Location: Worcester

• Start Date: ASAP, January 2026

• Contract Length: 3–6 months

• Setting: NHS Hospital

• Band: 7 / 8a DOE

• Pay: £28 – £35 per hour via Umbrella DOE

• Parking: Free on-site parking available

Key Responsibilities

You will be providing clinical pharmacy support across medical and surgical wards, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Duties include:

• Delivering clinical pharmacy services to medical and surgical wards

• Medicines reconciliation and clinical screening

• Supporting safe and effective prescribing

• Attending ward rounds and providing medicines advice to clinicians and nursing staff

• Identifying and managing medicines-related risks

• Supporting junior pharmacy staff where required

Candidate Requirements

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist

• Proven experience working on medical and surgical wards within an NHS hospital

• Confident providing ward-based clinical pharmacy services

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
