Join our dedicated Biochemistry team in Derby and contribute to delivering high-quality diagnostic services. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing a wide range of routine and specialised biochemistry tests using automated and manual techniques
Operating, calibrating, and maintaining biochemistry analysers
Ensuring compliance with quality control procedures and laboratory protocols
Validating, interpreting, and reporting accurate biochemical test results
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
Maintaining meticulous records and upholding UKAS and ISO standards
Participating in audits and supporting ongoing service improvements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
Relevant NHS experience in a Biochemistry laboratory
Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and SOPs
Full-time availability (we cannot provide sponsorship)
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude toward delivering high-standard laboratory services
This role involves working 37.5 hours per week, across Monday to Sunday. The contract is ongoing, with potential for extension based on performance and service demand.
