Hunter AHP have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist to join a respected private hospital in Nottingham on a locum basis.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, offering an immediate start and a long-term, ongoing contract. The successful candidate will be paid directly by the client, at a competitive rate of £33–£36 per hour, dependent on experience.
Position: Locum Clinical Pharmacist (Band 8a level)
Setting: Private Hospital – Nottingham
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (no weekends)
Contract: Ongoing locum assignment
Rate: £33–£36 per hour (DOE)
Payment: Paid directly by the client
Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to a range of inpatient wards and departments
Support safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medicines across the hospital
Work closely with medical and nursing teams to review treatment plans and support patient care
Contribute to medicines reconciliation, discharge planning, and formulary adherence
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, CQC standards, and private sector governance
Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC
Minimum 2 years’ hospital clinical pharmacy experience
Confident working independently within an acute care setting
Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to commit to a full-time Monday–Friday schedule
Private hospital experience is desirable but not essential
