Locum Independent Prescriber – GP Surgery (Southampton)

Hunter AHP have an exciting locum opportunity for an experienced Independent Prescriber to join a well-established GP surgery in Southampton. 

The Role:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a GP surgery setting

• Undertake medication reviews, minor illness clinics, and chronic disease management (depending on your skillset)

• Prescribe safely and independently in line with current clinical guidelines

• Work collaboratively with GPs, practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Key Details:

• Location: Southampton

• Days: Any 3 days per week (you choose which, Monday–Friday)

• Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)

• System: SystmOne (experience essential)

• Pay: £29 – £35 per hour (dependent on experience)

• Payment: Weekly, every Friday directly to your account

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Independent Prescriber (NMP)

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a GP surgery

• Proficiency with SystmOne clinical system

• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player

• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
