Locum GP Pharmacist – Hertfordshire (via Hunter AHP)
Hunter AHP are currently working with a GP surgery in Hertfordshire who are seeking an experienced Locum GP Pharmacist to join their team on a flexible part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist with strong primary care experience to take on a long-term locum post offering stability, excellent pay, and a supportive environment.
Position: Locum GP Pharmacist
Location: GP surgery, Hertfordshire
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)
Contract Length: Minimum 6 months, with potential for extension
Working Pattern: 3 days per week
Pay Rate: £30 – £38 per hour (dependent on experience), paid weekly
GPhC registered pharmacist
Ideally an Independent Prescriber (preferred but not essential)
Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a GP surgery
Confident working autonomously within a primary care setting
Strong clinical knowledge, with particular confidence in medication reviews and managing long-term conditions
Carrying out structured and clinical medication reviews (face-to-face and remote)
Supporting safe and effective prescribing within the practice
Managing long-term conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and other LTCs
Undertaking patient consultations (face-to-face and telephone)
Working alongside the wider practice team to improve patient outcomes and reduce GP workload
