Locum Phlebotomist – GP Surgery (Bury St Edmunds area)
Are you an experienced Phlebotomist looking for flexible work within a supportive GP Surgery setting? We’re working with a lovely practice near Bury St Edmunds seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join their clinical team on an ad-hoc basis to start with — with the opportunity to book in regular shifts once established.

Role: Phlebotomist – GP Surgery
Location: Near Bury St Edmunds
Duration: 3 months ongoing
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Ad-hoc initially (with potential for regular shifts), 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Rate of Pay: £16.00 – £18.00 per hour
Setting: GP Surgery / Primary Care
A day in the life:
You’ll be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and high-quality venepuncture services to patients across all age groups. Working closely with the nursing and admin teams, you’ll ensure samples are labelled, processed, and recorded accurately while maintaining excellent infection control and patient communication.
Requirements:
✅ Proven experience as a Phlebotomist (ideally within Primary Care)
✅ Confident performing venepuncture on a range of patients
✅ Up-to-date training and right to work in the UK
✅ Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
