Job Title: Prescribing Pharmacist
Location: Birmingham, GP Practice
Duration: Ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)
Start Date: May
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £33 – £40 per hour

Join our client’s friendly and forward-thinking GP practice as a Prescribing Pharmacist and become a key player in delivering exceptional patient care within the community. In this role, you will:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments
Create and implement personalised care plans
Deliver evidence-based treatments to optimise patient outcomes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care
Maintain accurate patient records
Prescribe medications independently in accordance with clinical guidelines
Conduct medication reviews and optimise patient treatment plans
Provide expert advice on prescribing and medicines management within primary care
Support patients with long-term conditions through appropriate medication management
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A current and valid GPhC registration
Experience working in primary care / GP practices
Independent Prescriber qualification (essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
This is a full-time, on-site position working Monday to Friday (9:00 – 17:30, 37.5 hours per week). The contract is ongoing, with high potential for extension depending on performance and service needs.
