About the Role:
Hunter AHP is working with a reputable NHS hospital in London to find a skilled Mental Health Pharmacist to join their team on an ongoing contract basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in mental health, providing expert pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment and make a positive impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services in the mental health setting, ensuring safe and effective use of medication
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to optimise therapeutic outcomes
  • Manage and dispense psychotropic medications, advising on appropriate usage and side effects
  • Counsel patients regarding their medications and support their understanding of mental health treatments
  • Provide medication management advice and contribute to treatment plans for mental health patients

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous clinical experience in mental health pharmacy
  • Knowledge of psychotropic drugs and their therapeutic applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills for patient interaction and staff collaboration
  • Experience in medication counselling and patient education
