Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 6/7)
Location: West London
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday (school hours, term time only)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing (with potential for extension)
Rate of Pay: £30–£40 per hour (dependent on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Locum OT and make a difference in the lives of secondary school pupils aged 11–19 with Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD) and associated needs such as autism, ADHD, and sensory processing difficulties. In this role, you will:
Perform assessments to identify occupational therapy needs in an educational setting
Develop and deliver tailored interventions that promote participation, independence, and wellbeing
Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching staff, and other therapists as part of a multidisciplinary team
Provide input into Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and support inclusive learning
Monitor progress and maintain accurate clinical records in line with HCPC standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Current and valid HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
Previous experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities or within an SEN school setting
A passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with complex needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a flexible, ongoing locum role requiring availability during school hours Monday to Friday, with term-time working. The position is ongoing with strong potential for long-term placement or extension based on performance and school needs.
