Locum Pharmacist Required – Expanding Online Pharmacy (Bedfordshire)
Are you a Pharmacist looking for a new challenge within an expanding online pharmacy service? We are working with a growing Pharmaceutical Wholesaler & Distributor, currently specialising in weight loss medication, who are seeking a Locum Pharmacist to join their team on a part-time locum basis.
Location: Licensed Premises – Bedfordshire (Free on-site parking)
Schedule: October start. 3 set days per week – Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9am–5pm (30-min lunch) potential for these days to increase….
Rate of Pay: £25 – £32 per hour DOE
Contract Length: Initial 6-month contract (scope to extend and increase days in future)
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will act as the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring compliance with GPhC regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. Duties will include:
Dispensing, checking, and preparing prescribed weight loss medication (including fridge items) for delivery
Overseeing the legal and safe running of the licensed premises
Working closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist to support the launch and growth of the service
Ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with all pharmacy and wholesale regulations
Requirements & Qualifications:
GPhC-registered Pharmacist with at least 2 years’ post-registration experience (newly qualified pharmacists will also be considered at a lower rate)
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to work independently as the sole on-site pharmacist
Previous experience within online or non-patient-facing pharmacy is desirable but not essential
