Hunter Gatherer AHP are currently recruiting an NVQ2 Dispenser/Assistant to join an outpatient hospital service in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy professional with NVQ2-level training, looking for an immediate start in a supportive hospital environment. No prior hospital experience is required.
Role Details
Location: Barnsley
Start Date: ASAP, January 2026
Contract Length: 3–6 months (possibility of extension)
Setting: Outpatient Hospital Service
Pay: £16.00 per hour via Umbrella
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
Key Responsibilities
You will support the outpatient pharmacy service by:
Preparing and dispensing medications accurately under supervision
Assisting pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations
Maintaining accurate records and stock management
Providing excellent patient care and advice in line with pharmacy regulations
Supporting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Candidate Requirements
NVQ2 in Pharmacy or equivalent
Previous hospital experience not required
Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Professional, patient-focused approach
