Hunter AHP are seeking an experienced Locum Dispensary Pharmacy Technician to join a busy and supportive NHS hospital pharmacy team in Yorkshire.
Position: Locum Dispensary Pharmacy Technician
Location: NHS Hospital, Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing, Full-Time (5 days per week)
Pay: £15 to £20 per hour
Payment: Paid weekly every Friday
Dispensing and accuracy checking of inpatient, outpatient, and discharge prescriptions.
Providing medicines management services on hospital wards, including:
Medicines reconciliation
Ordering and supply of medications
Preparation and management of discharge (TTO) medicines
Supporting external audits (FP10, oxygen, and safe & secure handling of medicines).
Travelling to external sites within Yorkshire to assist with audit activities.
Upholding clinical governance and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician
Proven experience in hospital pharmacy dispensing and accuracy checking
Strong working knowledge of medicines management and clinical audit processes
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to service demands
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel between hospital sites as required
